You may not know this about me, but I loooovvee writing and reading poems. It gives me so much energy. Ironic and positive poetry is my favourite, but I can enjoy dramatic and soppy too.
Remember when I told you about my school giving away books for free, well… I took a poetry book (a couple actually) from Federico García Lorca. There’s just something about Spanish writers, the way they describe life, bodies, everything.
I also really like Herman de Coninck, a Belgian writer. His stuff is more impressionistic and weird, but still amazing. A lot of people I know actually hate his work, because pretty often it’s hard to understand what he means and what the poems are really about.
Rupi Kaur has written great poems too. The things she wrote about women are everything but boring and cliché.
Last but not least: my own poems. I wouldn’t say I’m the best writer in the world, but I feel like I’ve made some decent stuff and I’m happy with the results of my hard work. Small fact: I used to write a lot more when I was sad, but that changed once I started to accept and love myself.
I’m btw listening to Linger by the Cranberries, while watching LaMadelynn on Youtube.
Why am I happy today? Because I bought 4 more plants and a small orangery (I don’t know what the correct word is). My throat is sore as hell though and I refuse to take medication (’cause it’s just soooo disgusting).
